Leave a gift in your Will to Bear Cottage
Join the quest for children’s health by remembering Bear Cottage in your Will.
Leaving a gift in your Will to Bear Cottage is a powerful way to make a positive difference for children with life-limiting conditions.
The Promise Partner program was established to recognise and honour the commitment of our generous friends who have included Bear Cottage, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Kids Research and NETS in their Will.
There is no minimum gift amount to become a Promise Partner. The size of your gift is entirely your choice and is kept confidential.
Any gift— big or small—will make a difference.

How to leave a gift in your Will
We recommend that you discuss the type of bequest you intend to make with your family and solicitor before you finalise your Will.
Types of gifts
- Residual gift—is the remainder of your estate after considering your loved ones and expenses have been deducted.
- Pecuniary gift—is a gift of a specific amount, such as $5,000.
- Specific gift—you can also specify which area you would like your bequest to assist— for example, Cancer, Burns, Research, Cardiology, etc.
- Asset or assets
