For corporates
Corporate support is invaluable to us and there are a number of ways to get involved, whether that's through external events such as Superhero Week, City2Surf and our Christmas Wrapping Station, or by holding your own corporate fundraising event.
From time to time we hold corporate volunteering days at Bear Cottage.
Activities may include:
- making cards from our wheelchair art
- painting
- sanding outdoor furniture
- decorating the house for Easter and Christmas
- tidying the toy cupboard
- activities depending on the needs of the house at any given time.
Corporate working bee information
To minimise the impact on the children and families staying with us, we hold one Working Bee per month, with a maximum of 10 volunteers at a time.
Demand is high and available days fill quickly, so flexibility is required.
Note: We give priority to organisations who are supporting Bear Cottage financially.
For more information about corporate volunteering like insurance or what to bring on the day, see our Corporate working bee information.
Other events for corporates
We value the support that we receive from our corporate partners and want to engage in long-term, meaningful relationships where you are able to see the difference you are making, first hand
We encourage you to get involved with as many fundraising and volunteering events as you can throughout the year or alternatively you can hold your own event.
We can also provide information about workplace giving opportunties for your staff. Our Bear Cottage events include (but are not limited to):
- A Bear Affair Gala Dinner
- Beach2Beach
- Superhero Week
- City2Surf
- Christmas Wrapping Station
- Corporate Working Bees
