One of the things that makes Bear Cottage truly special is our caring team.

Our children have a wide variety of complex medical conditions - muscular and neurodegenerative diseases, chromosomal abnormalities, cancers and rare diseases that are largely unknown in the wider community.

We are staffed by registered nurses, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and supported by local GP's and the expertise of a paediatric palliative care physician.

Our team of play, music and art therapists develop specific programs for each child based on their abilities, age and condition.

Daily tasks, like cooking and cleaning are attended to by our chefs and housekeepers who are supported by a dedicated team of caring volunteers.

This leaves families to do as much, or as little, as they like.
