Talking to family and friends

You may feel that other people expect too much of you.

Your friends and family might feel awkward and not know what to say.

They may avoid saying your child’s name for fear of upsetting you.

Friends and family try to cheer you up and not upset you.

You may have to be the one who puts them at ease, who talks and shares your feelings and begins to talk about your child.

It is okay to tell people what helps and what does not.
